We are so excited about our ethos and resources. However, we know you might not want to read everything in one go, so we have given you a quick summary of who we are and what we do:
We are passionate about what we do, as 1 in 3 children fail maths in the UK, (this was before lockdown, so we are concerned by the impact of lockdown).
We are working towards changing this trend for your children.
At Red Zebra Learning, we are a group of professionals with degrees in Maths or Engineering, who have experience in teaching and private tuition.
(As well as getting 100% in our own 11+ maths exam).
We love maths, numbers and patterns and have helped many children succeed in their own tests and exams.
After discovering thousands and thousands of children fail their maths exam each year in the UK (even before Covid and lockdown impacted schools), Red Zebra Learning decided to develop a suite of maths resources, to help each child succeed, by thinking in a way that the child thinks.
We know that there are lots of good resources on the market for maths, but none address why so many children continue to fail maths (Before lockdown in 2019, 270,000 children failed their GCSE, even when the pass mark was 21%; and this has been the case for many years).
So, with our personal experiences and expertise on how children hear, see and store information, we have developed our UNIQUE set of resources, starting with our maths books. These are aimed at School Year Groups 6-8, ages 10-13, for ISEB, Common Entrance and KS2/3 to ensure the foundations of maths are firmly in place. (available soon, please see countdown)
However, our resources aren't just another set of books, and we want to explain why (see below).
Put simply, our resources come with a helpful team that work directly with you to keep you motivated and on track.
Over the past 2 years, we have conducted a series of reviews for our developed resources. This is what the children and parents have said about us, when using our resources:
"I spent the same amount of time on maths each day, as brushing my teeth and getting dressed. It was easy to do small amounts at a time, and my grades and confidence improved so much"
(Year 6, Aged 11)
""When I was told all I had to do was improve by 1% at a time, I thought it was a trick invented by my parents. However, I couldn't believe how easy it was. I went from a C grade to a A grade between Christmas and Summer tests"
(Year 8, Aged 13)
"It sounds too easy to just take small steps. But it worked for my child. Would happily recommend"
(Parent of child in Year 7, Aged 12)
"My children loved the visual appeal of the books and how easy they were to use, through each topic. They certainly made an impression, enough for them to want to learn more"
(Parent of children, Years 5 and 7)
"Great tips for remembering concepts"
(Parent of child in Year 6, Aged 10)
"My son did a test and got 51%. He was a bit disappointed. We used the concepts of learning from the knowledge book and within a few weeks, he got 68%. Very happy indeed"
(Parent of child in Year 7, Aged 11)
"Learning how to visualise and store knowledge properly now seems so obvious. I wish we had done this ages ago. These resources really helped this. Thank you"
(Parent of child in Year 6, Aged 10)
We are aiming to donate thousands of free resources to children most impacted by lockdown once the resources are launched, starting with our Practise Book.
For every 10 books purchased, we will be able to donate a free set of resources directly.
Your help is their help.
THANK YOU
